Day 2 - Algebra & Word Problems

Nope, not as good as I had hoped for. Again.

The target was to complete Kaplan Math. However, I could complete only the Algebra and Word Problems Level One sections. I lost a few hours in going to the airport to drop a friend, and I guess the long drive got me quite tired. I felt sleepy much earlier than usual. Else I would've completed the entire Word Problems chapter at least.

Algebra is one of my weaker sections in math and even though I didn't make too many errors the whole day, those that came were in the Algebra section. Once again, the 3 levels of questions helped me test my skills. The Word Problems covered questions from both Arithmetic and Algebra, just in a simple sentence format. Once you can convert the questions into the equivalent number problem (which is the harder part), the problem itself hardly taxes you.

What's now left is Word Problems Level Two, Geometry and Data Sufficiency. More updates tomorrow.

SUMMARY OF WORK
Kaplan Math - Algebra & Word Problems Level One, pages 97 - 137 (not enough)

LESSONS LEARNT
1. The most important part of Word Problems is to convert them into plain Number Problems
2. Conserve energy to devote maximum time to study
